Beck's Orchestra uses DPA 4099 Mics on SNL performance

Beck Performs “Wave” on SNL with DPA Microphones on his Orchestra

With the release of his widely-acclaimed new album, Morning Phase only a few days past, Beck performed two of his new songs on NBC’s Saturday Night Live show last week. With his own orchestra in tow, the prodigious singer-songwriter gave brilliant renditions of Wave and Blue Moon. It is worth noting that his orchestra used no less than fourteen of DPA’s d:vote™ 4099 Instrument microphones for the performance.

DPA d:vote™ 4099 Instrument Microphones

DPA d:vote™ 4099 Instrument mics make use of DPA’s directional miniature capsules to provide an incredibly linear frequency response with excellent off-axis attenuation of the sound, ideal for use in ensembles, orchestras and bands alike. Because of the flat frequency response, any audio bleed that might be experienced through the d:vote mics sounds natural and, as such, won’t affect the clarity of the sound. The d:vote range caters for just about any instrument with a variety of instrument clips available. Find out more here.
