We’re holding a live mic techniques workshop at Electric Brixton on Thursday the 19th of March in conjunction with Encore PA and DPA Microphones – a chance to get expert advice, meet with experienced sound engineers and hands on with some of the best microphones in the industry.
This hands-on mic workshop will be presented by Russ Miller, FOH engineer for Johnny Marr, and will cover subjects ranging from stage layout, microphone choice and placement to controlling phase and spill and the fundamentals of capturing sound for front of house vs monitoring. With a live session band in the venue you will have the opportunity to try different close-miking and ambient miking techniques in this impressive live music venue in Brixton, London.
