Huge congratulations are in order for DPA Microphones, who’s new and innovative d:screet™ Necklace Microphone received the coveted Technical Excellence & Creativity (TEC) Award for sound-reinforcement microphones at the TEC Awards 2015.
Presented by the NAMM Foundation at a star-studded awards ceremony on the 24th of January 2015 in Anaheim, the TEC Awards show is the longest running of its kind. The TEC Awards were set up 30 years ago to recognise outstanding technical achievement in 30 creative and technical categories in the audio product and sound production industries.
DPA’s d:screet™ Necklace Microphone, designed to offer a no-fuss method in which to attach their award-winning 4061 Omni Mic capsule to subjects, has been designed for and used extensively on television shows like Big Brother Denmark. Launched in 2014, this bodyworn Necklace microphone allows users to fit it to themselves easily and ensures the microphone capsule is always positioned in an optimal position on the body.
The Necklace Mic was selected from hundreds of entries (audio products that were released between September 1st 2013 and August 31st 2014) and was chosen as the top performer in the Microphones – Sound Reinforcement category by a panel of esteemed pro-audio and music industry professionals.
