Ellie Goulding Debuts “Beating Heart” on Today Show USA

Ellie Goulding kicked off her USA tour last week with a live appearance on the Today Show, where she performed her new single “Beating Heart”, the title track for the upcoming film Divergent.

The “Burn” singer appeared on the early morning show on the day of her opening sell-out appearance at Madison Square Gardens where she performed the opening show of her tour for over 10,000 eager fans. Accompanying Goulding on tour is her favoured vocal mic, the DPA d:facto II.

The producers and directors of the movie Divergent have dubbed the talented singer “the musical voice of the film”, allegedly having chosen a couple of songs from her album, Halcyon, before asking her if she had any more they could use. Goulding states that she had “Beating Heart” in the wings and was happy for it to be made into the title track of the film. Ellie’s 2014 tour of the Americas will take her through Chile, Argentina and Brazil before a spate of shows across the US and Canada, only returning to the UK for the Wireless Festival in July.
