This year is already shaping up to be a busy one here at Sound Network and we’ll be at the ProLight & Sound 2015 show in Frankfurt Musikmesse with DPA Microphones in Hall 8, stand B70, and we’re holding a special event introducing the brand new Meris Ottobit to Europe!
Try the new DPA d:facto Interview Microphone
The DPA booth will feature workshops with live performances up to five times a day. Hosted by product specialists from DPA, the performances will demonstrate vocal microphones and instrument microphone placement on saxophone, acoustic guitar and upright bass – see the program here. There will also be a listening area where you can compare sound samples from DPA microphones and other popular mics.
The d:facto™ Interview Microphone is a high-end handheld reporter’s mic in a class of its own. Both voice clarity, linearity and low noise are in professional broadcast quality. Wind noise rejection is superior to competition straight out of the box, in most cases without the need for extra foam windscreens or fur windjammers.
With the unique ability to use the same mic head for both wired and wireless use, the d:facto mic series offers flexibility and future-proof investment in microphone front-end technology as it adapts to pro wireless brands and new wireless standards.
Ottobit, meet Europe. Europe meet Meris!
We are bringing Meris to Europe and holding an invitation-only event on Wednesday evening. The Meris 440 has been creating a steady murmer in recording circles in the UK, with a unique feature set, all-analogue signal path and classic 70’s American tone.
Along with the 440, we will be displaying the first ever Ottobit Bit Crusher outside of the USA at the event. Ottobit crushes bits and boasts more filters than your studio’s coffee machine, so if you’re a bit of a retro-centric audiophile then you’ll be in for a treat.
