The Staves and Gabriel Ríos at Colston Hall
We got front row seats at Colston Hall, Bristol's home of music, to watch Watford trio of sisters The Staves, with support from singer/songwriter Gabriel Ríos and his band.
Cellist, Amber Docters Van Leeuwen and double-bassist, Ruben Samama used DPA d:vote™ 4099 instrument mics, with their d:facto Vocal mic on Gabriel’s voice. The staves brass section also made use of the 4099 capsules, which have an eyebrow-raising max SPL of 152dB before clipping.
Front of house engineering was taken care of by Niels Neven from Amptec, with kit hire by Allen @ Amber Audio.
