Following last year’s hugely successful launch of the White Light audio department, the company will continue building its audio expertise and equipment catalogue all throughout 2016. The company’s reputation as a leading audio supplier has now been further enhanced by its latest investment in the highly-acclaimed DPA d:screet™ 4080 and DPA d:vote™ 4099 microphones.
DPA Microphones offer sound innovation for all areas of the entertainment industry. As one of the first miniature microphone developers, the company has paved the way for creative expression in the music, theatre, television and film industry. Every single product is assembled by hand in its state-of-the-art factory in Denmark and calibrated up to 15 times before final approval.
White light has already invested in the DPA range, with its existing hire stock including DPA d:fine™ headsets, DPA d:screet 4060s along with the ground-breaking Podium microphones. This latest investment includes a large quantity of DPA d:screet 4080s and DPA d:vote 4099s; all of which will be available for hire.
Marcus Wadland, Audio Project Manager at White Light, says:

We are continually evaluating the current market offerings from the pro audio industry and there really was no other contender when it came to close fixed instrument microphones to service our growing workload”.
DPA microphones are distributed exclusively in the UK through Sound Network. Marcus adds: “Over the past 12 months, our equipment has been hired out to prolific events such as the Rugby World Cup, music festivals, corporate functions and even charity fundraisers. Similarly, only last month, we delivered a large-scale conference which included a large plenary, several large breakout spaces and 60 channels of RF therefore this continued investment comes as no surprise. With the addition of the latest DPA microphones, we continue to grow an equipment inventory which can fulfil any audio requirements”.
