DPA 2028 Vocal Microphone

Meet the newest member of DPA’s vocal mic line up! The DPA 2028 Vocal MIcrophone boasts a brand new DPA supercardioid capsule, extremely high gain-before-feedback the smooth, linear off-axis response you can only get from a DPA.

Based off its big brother, the d:facto, the 2028 Vocal Microphone blows the competition out of the water with its excellent off-axis rejection, and spill that does enter the capsule sounds totally natural thanks to its directional capsule technology. The 2028’s handling noise has been reduced to virtually null thanks to its innovative capsule mounting system which includes shock absorption between the handle and the capsule.

Product Description

The DPA 2028 is available in both wired and wireless using DPA’s SL1 and SE2 adaptor ring system. Unlike the d:facto™ Vocal Microphone, this is not a modular system but still means you can get fantastic DPA sound in both wired and wireless solutions.

The 2028 sports a supercardioid capsule with the famously flat DPA off-axis response. These off-axis sounds are captured in the most natural way possible giving engineers the opportunity for a much more open sound. The DPA 2028 is road-ready and built to compete with the best of the rest at a price point that belies its superior performance.

A brand new capsule for the 2028, forms an integral part of the mic. It is fixed in its position on top of the shock mount and can’t be dismounted. The newly designed shock mount and pop filter have been developed specifically for the 2028.

The 2028 is avaiable as the following options:

  • 2028-B-B01 Wired XLR in Black
  • 2028-B-SL1 Wireless for Shure, Sony, Line 6 in Black
  • 2028-B-SE2ew Wireless for Sennheiser G3/4, 2000, 6000 & 9000 in Black
