DPA 4011A Cardioid Pencil Microphone

The DPA 4011A Cardioid Pencil Microphone is a first order cardioid mic with perfect frequency linearity 30 cm from the source, and very smooth off-axis characteristics.

The 4011A is one of the most versatile mics of the DPA family and as part of the DPA microphone range the 4011A now features modular design allowing you to easily pair the brilliant 4011 cardioid capsule with other preamps from the range.

Product Description

Ideal for studio and live use, the The DPA 4011A Cardioid Pencil Microphone is a first order cardioid mic with perfect frequency linearity 30 cm from the source, and very smooth off-axis characteristics. is modular allowing its capsule to be interfaced with either the standard preamp (MMP-A), compact preamp (MMP-C) or modular active cable (MMP-E).

With a cardioid polar pattern it is subject to the proximity effect if the mic is closer than 30 cms to the source, making it ideal for vocals and close miking all sorts of acoustic instruments. The off-axis response of the 4011 ensures that any spill from other instruments is uncoloured and, of course attenuated compared with the on-axis levels.

The The DPA 4011A Cardioid Pencil Microphone is a first order cardioid mic with perfect frequency linearity 30 cm from the source, and very smooth off-axis characteristics. handles extreme sound level pressures (158dB before clipping) and has an internal -20dB pad to ensure that your preamp will not clip or distort when recording very loud sound sources. The microphone comes with a tubular clip (UA0961), a foam windshield (UA0896) and its own individual calibration chart.

All DPA 4000 series Pencil microphones come with a 5 year warranty.
