DPA 4099 CORE Clamp Mount Microphone

The DPA CORE 4099 Clamp Mount Microphone is a super-cardioid clip on woodwind (flute, oboe, bassoon, clarinet etc.) Microphone with adjustable gooseneck. It represents the next evolution in instrument microphones. Everything about the 4099 has been designed to give you the expansive natural sound of your instrument, whether live or in studio. The handy crocodile Clamp mount connects securely to a music stand, or anything it can get its jaws onto.

The DPA CORE 4099 Clamp Mount Microphone also performs very well in studio situations. With extremely low self noise, its discrete size and easy adjustment on the instrument allows both musicians and recording engineers more freedom of movement in studio, with excellent results.

The DPA CORE 4099 Clamp Mount Microphone includes the Loud SPL 4099 variation, which has a dynamic range of 108dB and can withstand up to 142dB before clipping.

Product Description

The DPA CORE 4099 Clamp Mount Microphone is the result of DPA’s extensive research and development into creating the ultimate microphone for live instrument performance or recordings. The CORE 4099 contains a highly directional capsule designed for use in ensembles, pit, stage and orchestral settings where other instruments and monitoring may be in close proximity. The pick up pattern of the capsule ensures maximum isolation of the musician with incredibly low self-noise and high gain before feedback.

The DPA CORE 4099 Clamp Mount Microphone includes the Loud SPL 4099 variation, which has a dynamic range of 108dB and can withstand up to 142dB before clipping. The CORE by DPA amplifier technology assists in the production of a very transparent sound so that even in the unlikely event of spill, there are no unnatural harsh frequencies to deal with.

The CORE 4099 Microphone capsule produces a very natural sound, both on and off axis, so that even in the unlikely event of spill, there are no unnatural harsh frequencies to deal with. Its mounting system is designed to securely attach the gooseneck microphone to the instrument by way of a velcro strap with rubber mount which is very simple to fit and re-attach when required, without any marks or damage to the instrument.

The DPA CORE 4099 Clamp Mount Microphone comes with a DAD6001-BC XLR adapter which requires 48v phantom power, but the microphone can also be used with a wireless microphone system when coupled with the correct DPA adaptor.
