Here they show us how they achieved recording a Lamborghini Murciélago on a race track using no less than eight microphones placed in and around the body of the car.

Among others, they used car recordist favourites, DPA d:screet™ 4061 and 4062 miniature mics in the engine bay and a 4062 pair to record the exhaust. For the cockpit, a pair of DPA 4021 (now d:dicate™ 4011-ER) cardioid mics did the job.
