Raymond Gubbay’s Classical Spectacular 2015
Raymond Gubbay's Classical Spectacular 2015 at the Royal Albert Hall runs from the 19th to the 22nd of November, featuring popular classics delivered flawlessly by the London Philharmonic Orchestra.
The LPO were backed up by the Royal Choral Society (Thurs & Sat) and London Philharmonic Choir (Fri & Sun) and joined by tenor Jesús León and soprano Stephanie Corley.
With over 160 channels of sound, FOH Engineer Phil Wright has his job cut out for him, in the classical sense of the phrase. The singers used headset mics (DPA d:fine™ Omnidirectional) for the first time in the show’s history to ensure perfect reproduction of their voices, in balance with the impressive levels kicked out by the accompanying orchestra.
